Crane Brewing to host Grand Opening Nov. 25-26

Crane logoThe Taproom at Crane Brewing will host a Grand Opening Celebration on the weekend after Thanksgiving, Nov. 25 and 26. The team spent the last year putting together the space that would be as unique, rustic, and splendid as their beers featuring antique porcelain lamps, tables made from 100-year-old barn wood, and a 26 footlong bar handcrafted from thick sawn planks of lumber from a local honey locust tree. Several special beers from the past year were saved to put on tap in the new space for the event.

Come hungry as Crane Brewing will have its usual food partner Greg-Co BBQ on site serving his amazing BBQ.

The Taproom at Crane Brewing will be open Tues.-Thurs. from 4 p.m.-9 p.m., Fri.from 2 p.m.-10 p.m. and Sat. from 12 p.m.-10 p.m. Tours are available on Saturday at 2 p.m.

Crane Brewing reports a great year as it approaches its one year anniversary in December when it sold its first drop of beer. Since then, over 20 incredible beers have been created amassing to over 30,000 gallons in production. There are over 40 barrels in the barrel program. Crane beer is on tap and on store shelves throughout Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, and Oklahoma. And it has its own craft beer festival, Festival of the Lost Township, that brings over a 1000 artisans and patrons from around the country.

Crane Brewing has won the following award this past year:

  • 2015 Golden Tappys – Best Beer Festival: Festival of the Lost Township
  • 2016 Feast Awards – Best Microbrewery in Kansas City
  • 2016 Pitch Best of KC – Best New Brewery, Best Local Special Release Beer, and Best Start-up

Now the Taproom provides an official place where guests can visit the brewery, meet the makers, and drink fresh Crane Brewing beer right at the source.

Besides its usual beers on tap, Crane Brewing will offer special beers that are not distributed and can only be found at the Taproom. Available to-go are bottles and 32 ounce can crowlers that are filled fresh from the tap to be consumed later. Crane prefers crowler cans to the typical glass growlers filled at most breweries.

The Taproom at Crane Brewing will host special events year-round and will continue to work with local charities and organizations as a resource for fundraising and promotions.

Keep a lookout for more weekly and monthly events like Trivia Night presented by KC Trivia Geeks every Tues.  from 7 p.m.-9 p.m.

Crane Brewing was founded by homebrewers Michael Crane and Chris Meyers along with Operations Manager Aaron Bryant, Head Brewer Randy Strange and C.P.A. Jason Louk.
