SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Freshman Ja'Mari Ward (Cahokia, Ill.) and junior Karissa Schweizer (Urbandale, Iowa) shined for Mizzou Track & Field at the USA Track & Field Championships on Friday as Ward made his second consecutive junior world team and Schweizer reset her 5,000m run school record. Ward's win in the long jump punched his ticket to the World Championships, while Schweizer finished fourth in the 5K.

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Football's annual Gridiron Girls Night Out event is set for July 20 at the Columns Club on the East Side of Memorial Stadium. Hosted by Mizzou Football and organized by the wives of the Mizzou Football staff, this event celebrates Mizzou Football and its female fans while serving as a fundraiser for the MU Children's Hospital. Last year's event raised more than $10,000 for the MU Children's Hospital.

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Coming off the most prolific running season in Mizzou history, junior Karissa Schweizer (Urbandale, Iowa) will be recognized for her accomplishments at the Collegiate Women Sports Awards (CWSA) Show on Monday in Los Angeles, Calif. After being named the Honda Award cross country sport recipient in December, Schweizer is one of 12 finalists for the Collegiate Woman Athlete of the Year award and the Honda Cup.

COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Mizzou men's and women's swimming and diving programs, as well as 22 individual student-athletes, earned academic honors from the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), the organization announced on Wednesday. Both Tiger teams claimed Scholar All-America recognition for achieving spring 2017 grade point averages of 3.0 or higher, while 14 individuals were named Individual Scholar All-Americans and an additional eight claimed honorable mention honors.

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Four Mizzou Track & Field student-athletes will continue their outdoor season at the United States Track & Field Championships, which will be held June 22-25 in Sacramento, Calif. Junior Karissa Schweizer (Urbandale, Iowa) and redshirt sophomore Gabi Jacobs (Bloomington, Ill.) will compete on the senior level, while freshman Ja'Mari Ward (Cahokia, Ill.) and freshman Emily Stauffer (Reinholds, Pa.) will compete at the junior level.

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Head Coach Bryan Blitz and the Mizzou soccer team announced its 2017 schedule on Monday. The slate is highlighted by nine home contests and regular season matchups with eight teams that qualified for the 2016 NCAA Tournament, including defending national champion Southern Cal.

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Tennis freshman Tate Schroeder has been named the female recipient of the 10th annual Southeastern Conference Sportsmanship Award, as announced by the league office on Thursday. Schroeder earned the honor along with the Ole Miss and Vanderbilt baseball programs. The winners were selected by a vote of the SEC's 14 Directors of Athletics.

NEW YORK – On the final day of the Major League Baseball First Year Player Draft, four Mizzou Baseball standouts heard their name called. Junior RHP Bryce Montes De Oca (Lawrence, Kan.) was taken in the 15th round (No. 463 overall) by the Washington Nationals. Junior INF Robbie Glendinning (Scarborough, Australia) was taken in the 21st round (No. 628) by the Pittsburgh Pirates. Junior C Brett Bond (St. Louis, Mo.) was selected in the 23rd round (No. 691) by the Houston Astros. Redshirt junior RHP Cole Bartlett (Williamsburg, Ind.) went in the 25th round (No. 742 overall) to the Arizona Diamondbacks.

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Track & Field junior Karissa Schweizer (Urbandale, Iowa) was placed on The Bowerman semifinalist list, announced Wednesday by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). Schweizer is one of 10 semifinalists for the most prestigious award in collegiate track & field.

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Baseball LHP T.J. Sikkema (DeWitt, Iowa) earned Second Team Freshman All-America honors from the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA), announced Monday (June 12). The NCBWA is the second major publication to honor Sikkema as a Freshman All-American this season. He earned a spot on the second team as a relief pitcher.
